This is dedicated to anyone who is, has, or will be practicing Holacracy.

How many of these have you experienced?

  1. You’ve ever answered a question with “well, there’s no policy against it.”
  2. You’ve ever asked for a reaction round outside of a meeting, like, say, on where to go for lunch. No crosstalk allowed.
  3. When you don’t know the answer, you’ve ever said “not specified.”
  4. You’ve ever had a conversation debating the merits of “no objection” vs “no objections.”
  5. You’ve ever heard a “clarifying reaction”.
  6. You automatically wait your turn to talk in any meeting.
  7. You’ve ever engaged in crosstalk and felt naughty about it.
  8. You’ve ever wondered if a sigh counts as crosstalk.
  9. You’ve ever been in a two hour meeting when you and your team restructured the entire department, added four new roles, modified three policies, removed another department, and modified the product pipeline. And you felt like you could have done it faster.
  10. You’ve ever told your spouse “I don’t have an accountability for that”. (By the way, this is not recommended.)

Do you have your own? Leave comments! Would love to hear which ones you’ve experienced.
