Are these questions familiar?
- “How can I use domains to create checkpoints, not bottlenecks?”
- “How do ‘Holacracy policies’ differ from my organization’s employment policies?”
- “What’s the difference between a policy that governs roles versus a policy that governs people?”
Governance Fundamentals is an online course taught by a Certified Holacracy Master Coach designed to answer these questions and more.
Learn to craft proposals for a better Holacracy practice. Every team member can make proposals in governance to resolve their tensions. But it’s common for untrained practitioners to not understand governance basics. This can lead to invalid governance outputs getting accepted.
Invalid governance creates confusion for your team. It also reinforces old habits and power structures that conflict with self-management. A policy like, “Marketing must send out a newsletter every month” may make sense. Or an accountability that reads “Ensuring that all customer service agents provide a quality service to customers” may sound reasonable. But in Holacracy practice, both of these are examples of invalid governance. If you’re not sure why, this course is for you!
