We’ve used Holacracy to solve issues around recruiting, corporate vision, pricing, project assignments, and potential, new corporate structures. We’ve introduced the approach to clients – and those that are ready to embrace it have dramatically improved their productivity.
Programs for Individual Practitioners
Step I – Attend an Intro Workshop
The first step towards deeper participation in the Holacracy movement is to get the full introduction to the practice at one of HolacracyOne’s 2-day experiential workshops. This workshop is a stand-alone introductory training as well as a pre-requisite for the deeper Facilitator Training and further next-steps; it does not itself convey any particular certification or license grants.
Step II – Become a Certified Holacracy Practitioner (CHP)
An individual can become a Certified Holacracy Practitioner (“CHP”) after successfully completing the 5-day Holacracy Facilitator Training course. In addition to a general Holacracy credential, Certified Holacracy Practitioners gain several benefits:
- They can advertise their credential using appropriate HolacracyOne-supplied logos and trademarks.
- They are listed in HolacracyOne’s online directory of Certified Holacracy Practitioners (coming soon), along with their company name and contact info (if desired).
- They are granted access to the CHP Online Forums and regular conference calls hosted by HolacracyOne, and thereby invited to participate in the further evolution and formalization of Holacracy.
- They gain the right to provide Holacracy consulting services as long as they do so with the support and guidance of a Licensed Consulting Firm, or, when appropriate, with the direct assistance of HolacracyOne. (After a CHP gains sufficient Holacracy consulting experience and skill this way, they may then seek to have their consulting practice become a Licensed Consulting Firm.)
To maintain the credential and continue participating in the program, Certified Holacracy Practitioners must complete 35 hours per year of approved continuing education credits and pay a regular license fee to HolacracyOne. The amount of the license fee is determined solely by the practitioner based on their assessment of the value of the certification, license, and support program.
Step III – Become a Certified Holacracy Instructor (CHP-I)
After completing the Facilitator Training course, a Certified Holacracy Practitioner can attend a 2-day presenter-training workshop to learn the nuances of communicating Holacracy successfully and to practice delivering a Holacracy presentation or seminar. Upon successful completion of the course and related assessment, participants earn HolacracyOne’s Certified Holacracy Instructor credential, and gain the following benefits in addition to those of the CHP program:
- They are granted a license to use HolacracyOne’s PowerPoint files, handouts, supporting materials, trademarks, and marketing materials for putting on short Holacracy presentations (the materials provided scale for 60 minute presentations up through 6-hour mini-workshops).
- They may post their public events to HolacracyOne’s website, so they will show up on the list of upcoming Holacracy seminars at www.holacracy.org.
- HolacracyOne will list their events in regular posts to HolacracyOne’s mailing list highlighting upcoming Holacracy events.
- Active Certified Holacracy Instructors have a seat on HolacracyOne’s Instructor Circle and a voice in the Integrative Decision-Making process used therein. This circle governs the Certified Instructor Program and aims to support the spread of Holacracy through regular presentations and seminars around the world.
To maintain the credential and continue participating in the program, Certified Holacracy Instructors must keep their CHP certification active and abide by whatever other policies the Instructor Circle may establish. Participating in the Certified Holacracy Instructor program also entails a small fee for each Holacracy presentation given, in addition to the practitioner-determined general license fee for the CHP program.
